Vilnius is compact and easy to get around, whether you prefer walking, public transport, or ride-hailing.
On foot
The Old Town and central districts are very walkable, with most attractions, cafés, and venues close to each other.
Public transport
Buses and trolleybuses cover the whole city and run frequently. Tickets can be bought via the m.Ticket app, at ticket machines, or from kiosks. Short-term passes (30–90 minutes) and day passes are available and affordable.
Ride-hailing and taxis
Apps like Bolt and Uber work well in Vilnius and are widely used. Taxis are easy to find, but ride-hailing apps are usually the simplest and cheapest option.
Bikes and scooters
Shared bikes and electric scooters are available around the city and are a great option in warmer months for short trips.
From the airport
Vilnius Airport is just 15 minutes from the city center by car. You can reach downtown by bus, train, taxi, or ride-hailing services.
Vilnius has a wide range of accommodation options to suit different budgets and travel styles. The Old Town is ideal if you want to be close to major sights, restaurants, and nightlife that you could enjoy after the conference. For a more local feel with great cafés and bars, look at Naujamiestis — it’s also a neighbourhood where Kablys, the festival’s venue, is located.
