KABLOONAK (LT)

A storyteller with a guitar, Kabloonak blends folk and alternative influences in his music. Characterized by classical guitar playing, Cohen-esque vocals, and narrative-driven songwriting, his songs are like short films — vignettes of city life, fleeting romances, and the quiet moments in between. Each melody is like a whispered secret in the stillness of an empty bar at night. With a beautiful, naked vulnerability, adorned with delicate instrumentation yet raw with the weight of memory, Kabloonak invites you into his world — a world both sad and beautiful, where every joy carries the echo of what time has taken away.

True to the Inuit meaning of his name — “foreigner” — he invites you to the landscape of his heart, making you a visitor in its intimate terrain, evoking a warm nostalgia for moments lived and lost.

Since 2016, Kabloonak has been crafting these sonic films, earning recognition with wins at the Lithuanian M.A.M.A. Awards (Alternative Act of the Year, 2019) and AGATA Awards (Album of the Year, 2019). In 2020, his music video for “Bruises On Her Legs” received a special mention at the Riga International Film Festival. His work has also been featured in films and theater, further cementing his place as a musician who paints with sound, capturing the fleeting beauty of human experience.
