Alina Orlova is one of the most prominent and distinctive musicians of the Lithuanian alternative scene. She stands out for her poetic lyrics and instantly recognisable dreamlike voice, as if echoing from afar. Her music hints to alternative folklore, sung poetry, arrangements are sometimes cabaret-like, valuing silence as much as sound, ghostly in its aura, tempting to come closer.
During her career, Alina has appeared in iconic concert venues around the world: Musée d’Orsay in Paris, The Bowery Ballroom in New York during the Tribeca Film Festival, and the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania. She also opened for the legendary Marc Almond. Alina’s discography consists of 6 full-length albums, which are re-experiencing their relevance again and again.
At her current creative stage, Alina swirls within ‘Night Postcards’ – a subtle, atmospheric album, inviting listeners to delve into a nocturnal state. Here, delicate nuances and the silence between sounds become the most important.
